On November 13th, 2024, the Road Safety Authority (RSA) took an impactful step toward a safer future by bringing its interactive safety truck to Dublin City University’s Glasnevin campus. This mobile safety installation, complete with dynamic exhibits and hands-on experiences, aligns with RSA’s ambitious “Vision Zero” goal: to reduce road incidents to zero by 2050. With this powerful commitment, RSA is actively championing road safety across Ireland, engaging students and the public alike in innovative ways to prioritize safety.
Inside the truck, carefully designed stations guide visitors through essential safety measures and the critical steps needed to minimize accidents. From detailed visualizations to engaging data displays, the experience is a rich educational journey. One standout feature of the setup is a motorcycle simulator, which allows users to understand road safety challenges by maneuvering the simulated bike through various scenarios simply by shifting their posture and moving their arms. This interactive approach makes the learning process not only effective but also memorable, connecting road safety lessons directly with real-world implications.
At Safely, we share RSA’s vision for safer roads and a future with zero incidents. Together, we recognize the importance of collaboration and community engagement in achieving this mission. We’re proud to support this initiative and are eager to participate in similar events in the years ahead, working alongside RSA and others who are committed to creating safer streets for everyone.
